our background
Catherine & Owen Morse-Brown have been running the award-winning company Guy Morse-Brown Hat Blocks since 2008, supplying professional and hobbyist milliners and hatters worldwide with fine quality, hand-crafted hat blocks. They help milliners and hatters realise their designs by offering the best quality hat blocks, tools and accessories to inspire. This allows you to focus on what you do best!
“Owen and I took over the established family business in 2008 (the year Guy Morse-Brown received his MBE for services to Millinery) and have grown the business to serve the international community of milliners and hatters, picking up another award from the Heritage Crafts Association in 2015. We support the community in annual competitions and also have been a big player at London Hat Week. I also set up an international directory of millinery teachers and hat-making courses (hatcourses.com). We are keen to share our knowledge and set up the Knowledge Hub on the hat blocks website for techniques and tips. We also partner with HATalk e-magazine which also writes excellent material on all things hats.

what are people saying
We have lots of delighted customers. This feedback is typical of the responses we get: “Just a quick thank you for the beautiful hat blocks that arrived on Friday. I must admit since their arrival, family (humans and animals) are complaining about poor service due to me playing with the blocks! The blocks are stunning and far exceeded my expectations. It is wonderful to know that they are all made in the UK and a traditional skill is being kept alive. From initial phone calls to the blocks arriving the service I have received has been nothing but professional and extremely friendly. [Suzanne Gill – Ampleforth, UK]”
